Did y'all hit the beach this weekend? Jon really, really wanted to, but he got a little lost along the way and somehow ended up, um, here. Don't get us wrong — the Brooklyn Navy Yard is great and all, but it's just not what Jon had in mind when he set out to take a nipply little Memorial Day dip. There's nary a beached bod or ball or towel or whale in sight. No sound of waves crashing or children shrieking or sunscreened slabs of flesh slipping and sliding and squelching across each other on the sand. But what Jon's new make-shift beach lacks in glamour, it makes up for in sheer grit and great lighting (and unidentifiable rubbery bits swilling about in the water). And now, after much deliberation, Jon has finally decided to take the plunge. As per usual, he'll start with just a toe/the tip.
